<t>Thanks for the info Tom. My 20 year old daughter with LOBPI is planning scuba lessons, and it makes me more than a little anxious. She hasn't started yet, but will soon. She has use of her injured arm, but it isn't as strong as her other, nor can she supinate. She would love to find an instructor...

Re: LOVE TO HOST A FLORIDA GET TOGETHER
I live in Macclenny (outside Jacksonville) and would be very interested in a get-together. I have a 20 year old with LOBPI (she's very interested too!). We'd need about a month's notice for work and school schedules (we both work various weekends). Thanks. Paula

I have not heard of a bpi specialist there, but would be very interested in taking my daughter (today is her 20th birthday). We are comtemplating a trip to Houston, but would rather drive 30 minutes instead. (B...

<t>Denise, so sorry to read about your husband, I hope he can get some pain relief soon. About the plavix:<br/> <br/> Why not stop the Plavix and put him back on Lovenox (by injection) or Heparin (by IV)? It will provide the anticoagulation necessary to have a procedure or operation.<br/> <br/> Why ...

Re: Questions
<t>"Just one of those things that can happen," I don't think so!! There are strict protocols used for positioning patients during surgery, especially during long surgeries. When you signed your (informed) consent for surgery, was paralysis part of the risks? Did you have an arterial line in that arm...

<t>Thank you so much Kath for help with the support group. I look forward to hearing from someone. I think I read somewhere on this site it is near the space coast. I wish it was on the first coast! But oh well, I don't mind I-95 too much, just get tired of all the construction, does it ever end??? ...

Re: Just found this site!
<t>Thank you for the responses.<br/> <br/> Amy I'm so glad you are becoming an Occupational Therapist. I've been an RN for many years, and we sure could use you at our hospital. So if you need a job when you finish school and want to move to Florida, just let me know, I've been at the same hospital ...
