sad news about Nicholas Grandpa/my dad

Nicholas' Grandpa has passed away. As some of you remember from a post several weeks ago, I had thought my dad had a neck injury from the way they let his head drop while putting him from stretcher to his hospital bed. That was not the case. He had Sepsis which is a blood infection that attacks the body's systems and organs. It attacked the nervous system first then kept going to other organs. The Doctors tried everything but it wasn't enough and my Dad tried so hard to get better as he was not ready to leave. Nicholas was my Dad's little buddy so he is not taking his death well. My Dad had only been sick about one month so it feels like he was up doing his usual things just yesterday especially to a four year old. My Dad was an amazing father, an even more amazing Grandpa and just a wonderful human being that MANY people loved. He bought Nicholas a bubble gum machine because it would be good therapy for him, he was always thinking about therapy. He was so proud of Nicholas and how far he has come since his flacid arm at birth. He was so grateful for Dr. Nath and the Texas Team and the hope they gave us. He loved getting two handed hugs from Nicholas, like that last one he got from him before being rushed to the ER. He especially liked to watch Nicholas (ROBPI) playing video games using his right toe, he couldn't believe how good he was at it. My Dad was the perfect Grandpa, loving, kind, patient and every grandchild was special to him. He left us with so much love and wisdom. We were truely blessed with having him for a short 77 years. Thank you for letting me share my thoughts.
