Re: has anyone had expierience with J.L. Borrero, MD?
When my daughter was born I was sent to she him and he really steered me in the right direction and he went above and beyond. I met another mother who knows him and swears he walks on water. So you would be in good hands with him

Re: 14 month old post-op limitations
I know you posted this a while ago, but I haven't visited in a while. My daughter had surgery at 4 months and she had some movement but not much. After they took off the cast she looked HORRIBLE. The little bit of movement she had gained in the 4 months prior to surgery was gone. I wondered if I had...

Re: Just plain frustrated .....
Hi, I know my post is a little late but I agree with the information you were provided about Dr. Nath, although some do swear by him. I have seen Dr's. up and down the East coast and I realize that you maybe limited by location. I have seen Dr Murray in Jacksonville and was very happy with him. You ...

Re: Picking child up under the arms..is it ok?
Hello, My daughter has a very severe injury and she had surgery at 4.5 months, she is now 18 months old. I have always picked her up under her arms and none of her Dr's or three therapists found anything wrong with it. However, I would not and still will not pick her up by her arms, even for a child...

Re: Dr. Nath
I met many Dr's while researching my daughters injury. Initally I liked Dr. Nath but ultimely used another Dr for her surgery. I am thankful I did, he did not want to do any surgery until she was 9 months old because he felt that she had bicep movement that would eventually get stronger. She ended u...

Re: Questions, questions, questions....
Hello, If your insurance will pay for it and you are close there is a Dr in Jacksonville at nemours. My daughter had her first surgery at 4 months and I saw many Dr's because I was concerned about who could do the surgery. I had already set up the surgery in Jacksonville and wanted another opinion. ...

Re: Limb Lenghtening
Hello, I agree completely with anotherbpimom. My husband is "hell bent" on getting my daughter the limb lengthing surgery but I feel that it is a decision that she should make since she is the one that will have to go through the surgery. She has a lot of surgeries ahead of her and I feel ...

Re: Moving to Houston-Know of any Drs.
Thank you!!! We still have some time before we move and I am a little stressed about having to set up a new support system for my daughter. It is good to hear from people who have already dealt with the Dr's and their staff.
Thanks again

Moving to Houston-Know of any Drs.
Hello Everyone, My family is moving to Houston within the next couple of months and I have a 14 month old daughter with a Brachial Plexus injury to her left arm. She has had nerve graft surgery and will more than likely need many additional surgeries. I was wondering if any of you had any informatio...

Re: Looking for some Task Solutions.
My daughter just turned 11 months old and her left arm is affected, at night I tuck her in tight leaving her arms free. The tightness of the blanket stops her from rolling in her sleep. Since the weather is getting warmer and a blanket may be too much I use a light sheet or receiving blanket to keep...
