Shoulder Dystocia on Private Practive last night
<t>Of course they didn't make it look like a big deal. All the Dr had to do was a gentle rotation to dislodge the shoulder. The DR wasn't even an OB and they were in a convenience store (he called a colleague to ask what to do when the head was delivered) . No mention of risk factors etc.<br/> <br/>...

Re: Expecting Again!
<t>congrats- That is wonderful news. I am expecting #3 this dec, scheduled c-section, just like my 2nd (1st was OBPI). c-section was a breeze for me compared to pushing for 4 3/4 hours and having the baby rushed to the nicu. Keep the dialogue up with you new Ob and you will feel more comfortable</t>

Re: No Surgery Route
<t>we have a 5yr old, no surgery-to date but I never rule it out. I highly recommend being followed at least every 6 months for the 1st 3 years by BPI expert. These drs pick up on things we have no clue about. I agree, Kozin is a great resource, even if you go the no surgery route. I truly believe h...

Re: has anyone fully recovered?
<t>I agree with previous posters. If someone had a full recovery, they probably don't stick around the boards for support. we were given a lot of false hope in the beginning, it wasn't until our child was 5 weeks old when we went to the neurologist and he said he was disappointed and that she would ...

Can I write the DR a letter
<t>WE lost our trial last week and I have no sense of closure, partly b/c I didnt tell that part of the story to the jury. They never heard about the force used by the DR to get my daughter out. They didnt hear how the dr put her foot on the table and ripped her out of me.<br/> our strategy backfire...

we lost
<t>I dont even know what to say except it really sucks. I have a child with good recovery and no surgery so I think that really was the deciding factor. Also opposing counsel kept talking about 1% chance of shoulder dystocia and it is not predictable nor preventable. I think that is what stuck out i...

Grey's Anatomy
Did anyone see it last night? One of the surgeons was shot and the bullet was by his brachial plexus and they were worried about operating due to loss of hand movement.

Re: Wheel Barrel Walk
it is when you hold the childs legs (or hips) and they walk (or weightbear)on their hands. At least this is what I think it is!
