Expecting Again!

Post by Jake'smom »

I am so excited to tell you guys that we are expecting again. I'm due May 9th. I have a wonderful dr that I completely trust and we agree that since Jacob was born at 38 1/2 weeks (he wasn't late) and he only weighed 6'14" that a c-section was our best bet. I'm nervous about the c/s but as long as the baby is fine and moving both arms, I can do it! My 1st delivery was so rough anyways b/c I pushed so long and so hard that I almost think the c/s going to be better. I was sore for a long time after Jacob. Well, I just wanted to let you guys know. Keep us in your thoughts! Thanks.

congrats- That is wonderful news. I am expecting #3 this dec, scheduled c-section, just like my 2nd (1st was OBPI). c-section was a breeze for me compared to pushing for 4 3/4 hours and having the baby rushed to the nicu. Keep the dialogue up with you new Ob and you will feel more comfortable

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".
