Re: Progress after surgery
Thanks, Paula! Tristan's shoulder was completely subluxated, which we discovered last Nov. I prepared myself for a long recovery, possibly even setbacks, but he had noticeably better range of motion within a few weeks of getting his cast off. Best to you both!

Progress after surgery
<t>Hi all -<br/> I haven't posted for a while but thought I would share that my son is making FANTASTIC progress after having muscle transfer-caps surgery in Feb. 2003 at Gillette in Minnesota. His humeral head now measures about 2/3 the size of the unaffected side, compared to 1/2 the size before s...

Re: Speech delay when to worry?
<t>Don't have much enlightening information to add, but my son (20 mos) is also having speech therapy. He is slowly adding words, but does not follow simple commands at all. I once posted here asking if anyone had heard of speech delays being related to OBPI. Our pediatrician said she's not surprise...

Re: Aqua therapy &insurance
<t>Krista,<br/> I think you are in Wisconsin, right? We use Birth to Three also. You can ask your coordinator about not billing your insurance company for the services they are providing. We did this because we became concerned about Tristan reaching his lifetime maximum. For us it was no problem - ...

Re: MRI / CAT SCANS
<t>Francine,<br/> Maybe they did take it into consideration automatically, but apparently that is not always the case. The day I came home from the appointment, I was reading an article on MSN.com Health about how important it is to ask the radiologist to use a child dose. You would think it would b...
