Washington DC
In the last week of July I'm going to Washington DC, and I'm taking my bpi arm with me. Any suggestions on traveling on a long flight with a tbpi? Any suggestions on fun things I should see or do there? I've only got one week though. Cheers...Karl...

I'm not tbpi but obpi and some advice is the same for both situations.
Don't be afraid to ask for help! Don't overuse and hurt the non injured arm. Ask for early boarding, it is available to anyone with a disability and it will be easier for you to get settled and wrestle with that seat belt with a little extra time. Get a seat on the plane where you won't be jostled on that bpi side if this is sensitive to you.
As far as D.C. goes, there is so much that is fun to do there. I was there for a long weekend last month and we went to the zoo, which is one of the best zoos in the world. And of course, the museums and the momuments are fun too.
There is a public art exhibit that just went up with painted pandas all over the city. Pandamania -- they call it. Here's the web site:

I have done a ton of traveling since my crash. I never really seemed to have any trouble at all. Like Nancy said most if not all airlines allow early boarding for those who need special assistance, that is always an option. My BPI is on my right so I dont like to have an isle seat where the arm is in the isle as it gets bumped around and the dam nthing doesnt like to stay on the arm rest, it likes to go to the floor! hahaha Personally I prefer window seats with the BPI arm right next to the window! I found that it works great for me. But other than that i really dont even think about it. Pack light too, unless someone will be helping you with your bags!
