Newcomer...and a little anxious

Hi, All,

My name is Meghan. I was injured during a forceps birth in 1973 and over the years had seen several different doctors to try to understand what was wrong with my right hand and what, if anything, could be done. I've never been formally 'diagnosed' and only seen as an 'interesting neurological case'. I just recently decided to do research again on my own for the first time in almost 10 years thinking maybe 'modern medicine' had made a new discovery and what I found was a description of Klumpke's Palsy that articulated my symptoms exactly. Clearly I have not been to the most educated doctors! I've not ever met anyone with similar symptoms and was nervous and excited at the same time to learn of the UBPN. Thank you for being here and participating in this online forum - for the first time, I don't feel alone in the day to day struggles or like an unsolved mystery! :D

WELCOME, Meghan!!!
There is no such thing as a dumb question anywhere on any Forum board . Everyone is welcome on any of the Forum Boards.

I hope you can come to CAMP 2010 in MO. in October. It is sooo healing to talk to other adults and learn sooo much while having fun with people who instantly understand. watch for information coming soon how to register.

Welcome to the message boards. You will find alot of information thru out this site. We all know how you feel. Most of us thought that we were all alone with this injury. It is a club that we did not ask to join. Ask any questions. We are there for you.....

Welcome to our "CLUB" we all understand how nervous you are at this time. It's so strange to be able to talk to others who fully understand. BPI injuries are like fingerprints no two are exactly alike. Each of us healed in different ways even though the same nerves are injured. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Someone is always willing to help and share information. Kath

Welcome!!! UBPN recently added a chatroom and we are working on setting up a time to meet there once per week.

Discussion is here: http://ubpn.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=34052

Feel free to give your input on what day/time to pick as we are still discussing when it should be.
