I also only received the stand after the ad said Free hair dryer and two brushes. Discusted with venders on the internet as you haven't much recoarse. I am going to complain to my credit card compant.

I couldn't register on this site due to an error, so I thought I would make this reply.
This product is junk. It looks like it should work like a mike stand but it is only a cheap imitation which requires you to rotate the top shaft which is not easy to do with a dryer on it.

Hi everyone,
Today I found a sturdy dryer stand at my local BED BATH&BEYOUND store;it was reasonably priced. No free brushes tho....

You can purchase this type of dryer stand in New York City @ the Duane Reade store on 8th Ave @ W.33rd St.. It costs 19.99(+ tax.) It works great and holds my Solano 1600 Watt dryer , even though they recommend a 1850 watt dryer
