I have an infared box and steering knob on my wheel. It has indicators, headlight beam/dip, horn, windscreen wiper/washers all under my thumb. It just pops on and off the wheel really simply, so it doesn't affect other drivers. I'm from the UK. If your post is still relevant and you still need help, post here and I'll dig out the details of it.

Just found this site today - it lists many companies that offer adaptive devises. I forgot if you live in the US, but since we do that is what I was trying to find for options.

If in the UK, the product from Lodgesons seems to be superior.

Let us know if you find other companies, & how the products compare.

Re-my post about infra-red controls for a car. The box I use is from www.brianpagecontrols.co.uk. The site didn't display properly for me but the product is excellent! It is very similar to the Lodgesons one mentioned in the link above, so worth comparing if you're considering buying. I've had my box in one form or another since the 1980's. The best thing is that it doesn't interfere with an ordinary driver's use of the car.
