Hi All,

The presentation went well, but because we were last for the day, there was not time for questions. However, I received many nice comments about the presentation and Anise and I have received many cards and emails to try and get them listed in our resource directory.

Yesterday was OBPI today was TBPI and tomorrow is more OBPI and miscellaneous stuff. I went through the slides and focused on what we wanted to see.

There was one presentation on stem cells, but it is still preliminary and was more focused at regenerating muscles that were still partially innervated, so it was an attempt to get muscle mass and not regeneration of nerve fibers. If I get a chance I will ask about that.

They have spoken a little about pain for OBPI, and I think the concensus is that it is under reported. It has been a great meeting thus far and we have met alot of great doctors. Hopefully that will continue through tomorrow!

Weather is nice 75-80 and pleasant. It was an ordeal to get here, but I think it was worth it!

Hey, I just got an email from my shoulder doctor from Mayo who was at the same meeting and he said you guys did an excellent job. Keep up the great work! :)
He also showed a new video of me that we just shot last week to show some of my progress. Did you get to see it? I didn't realize it was going "international" so I hope he got my good side, hahahahaha. I will be getting a copy too and will post it here when I do. Cheers.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Awesome, Angela!! I look forward to seeing your video. It really should put to rest the debate who to go to for BPI Specialists, huh! We need all of the "Awareness" we can get. Maybe, new parents will be informed where to go FASTER!
We can only hope, huh.
Angela, Please plan to come to Camp 2012,OK?!! I hope Christopher comes too. I personally have learned alot about pain management from you 2 "experts".
HUGGZ galore,
