I'm still here too. Thanks for missing me kath. I've been trying to decorate the house. It's been about 14 years since I've put up my own tree. My dau and grdau usually does it. Needless to say the arm doesn't want to work very well and it took me days to do it. (only a 4 ft tree.) I would imagine if it were 6 ft I would still be hauling out boxes from the closet. My dau says I am stubborn and could have waited for help. Me? Stubborn?? It's just an OBPI trait. Right????? Hi to all

Well, now that is better ... starting see some of you again! I missed you all!!

George thanks for solving the problem about the food group... That means veggie chocolate for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and lets not forget the snacks...
Just roll me out the door... Yikes....

Sharon stubborn a trait of OBPI... LOL>>>LOL>>>LOL>>>
You bet your Christmas Tree... I use to get insulted when someone would say I was a bit stubborn once I made up my mind about something.... LOL... then I remembered if I had not been stubborn I would never have learned to move my arm... and my Mom was the fist one to call me -- strong willed...hmmmmm sounds so much better...
Enjoy the tree...
Ralph is going to put up the lights as soon as the nice warm NY weather changes to freezing so he can complain about the cold.... LOL... and our kids can make fun of him for waiting till it freezes again!! It's tradition..

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: January 1980 Yamaha RD200 vs 16 wheeler truck, result, 1 totally paralysed right arm. I was 21, now 54. I had no surgery, I don't regret this. Decided to totally ignore limitations (easily done aged 21) adapted very quickly to one handed life, got married, had 3 kids, worked- the effect of the injury on my life (once the pain stopped being constant) was minimal and now, aged 54, I very rarely even think of it, unless I bash it or it gets cold, then I wish I'd had it amputated :) Except for a steering knob on my car, I have no adaptations to help with life, mainly because I honestly don't think of myself as disabled and the only thing I can't do is peel potatoes, which is definitely a good thing.
