This reply is from my son John who is 9 years old.
He also plays hockey - ice hockey.
Hockey is alot of work if you have brachial plexus injury. I wear a brace on my wrist under the glove to help my wrist stay straight. The gloves can be kind of heavy. I slip the stick in the glove when I'm playing. The coach said we could use a rubber band to hold the glove to the stick if we needed to.
The only position I do not play is goalie because my arm can't hold the heavy stick but I like center better.

We were also told about a 3 finger glove that could be made if the 5 finger was to difficult to use.

Have fun with hockey!
