Jacob's left BPI get's better every month. Since his third nerve grafting 18 months ago there has been pretty good progress. He can feed himself, put his fingers in his ears and is in his naked phase and good at taking his clothes off. Now only if he can get better at putting them on. He is in pre-school through special education and he likes it sometimes. Everyday I ask him what he did at school only to get the same answer, "played with toys". He does tell us that his arm hurts but half the time its the non-BPI arm so who knows. He is quite a character and thinks he is Batman. He even talks like him.
We moved (the ARMY moved us) to El Paso this summer and it has been an adjustment with new job, new doctors, and new therapist. His PT is a soldier like daddy which he loves and responds quite well to. The therapist has dubbed the treatment room the Bat Cave. So all is good in there. He can suppinate 60 degrees which is almost neutral. The docs that evaluated him know and worked with DR. Nath. They are monitoring his progress and one of them did carpal tunnel surgery on Crystal last week so we trust him.
Our other little monster Trent is crawling and pulling himself to stand next to the couch. The boys love each other and play well with each other.
The law suit settled right before we moved and in some ways seems to have given us a lot of closure. Barring any major set backs I feel as though we can deal with this injury. Our fingers are crossed that progress will be steady and set backs far and few. Thanks to all those who helped, advised, and prayed for us over the last three years. We really appreciate it.
