I'm new to this site and I've been following your story and had to send you an email. I know that this is a difficult time for you, but know you are in our thoughts and our prayers. Be strong, for your daughter. The strength we get from being parents can pull us through difficult times. My step-sister is battling ovarian cancer right now and she says that her girls are what she hold on for. Remember we are always an email away....

I will be thinking of you and praying for you to fight this. I know you will remain strong, especially b/c of your daughter! Our children almost "push" us with things like this. Just thinking about them and how they need us...that's a big, strong push right there. Best wishes to you. I look forward to the day when I read your post about being completely recovered. It will happen. Stay positive!

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York
