Re: Have you seen this new site???
<t>This is the non profit organization that I created to help other children and families that suffer from Brachial Plexus Injuries. I am so thrilled that you found it! We are still a young organization and are trying to raise funds to help people. Any expertise or advice pertaining to fund raising ...

Re: greys anatomy....
<t>I love this show. I was really impressed because they not only mentioned it, but made it sound like something serious enough that she might want to reconsider the procedure she was about to undergo. I hope that we will hear more things like this in future. It really is a great show, I am hooked!<...

Re: triangle tilt surgery
<t>Thanks for the support, Christy. Marnie, I am afraid that you mistook what I was saying. I was in no way being disrespectul towards or judging anyone that has chosen this prodecure for their child. I was under the impression that these boards were a place of learning and growth. The beautiful thi...

Re: triangle tilt surgery
<t>I hate to be a naysayer, but it worries me that so many of these children are having this surgery and we have no idea the long term effects because the research hasn't been done long term. Other BPI specialists are actually warning people against this surgery because of this. I am just sharing my...

Re: UBPN and the SSA
<t>This is so great! I am glad that they are taking this injury seriously finally. It is about time. I hope that we can get some new definitions and get these kids the assistance that they deserve. Not to mention the adults who suffer even more than these little kids ever will because these wonderfu...

Re: teacher grabs bpi arm
<t>I would talk to that principle so fast that the teacher would not know what hit her. This behavior that you have described is ABSOLUTELY uncalled for in any grade but especially kindergarten. It does not matter that the other classrooms are "full". Your child will not feel safe in that environmen...

Re: triangle tilt surgery
<t>You have to rely on your instincts. If you have reservations, do not do it. The other BPI specialists are telling patients to slow down with this particular procedure because of the lack of research thus far. We were scheduled to have this procedure done in July, but I didn't feel good about it, ...

Need info on Dr. Scott Kozin
<t>We are thinking of seeing him for another opinion. What have your experiences been like with him and also the Shriners Hospital? I am open to ALL feedback. I want to know the good and I am also concerned if anyone has had a negative experience as I don't believe you can make a well informed decis...

Re: Progress at TCH?
Yes, Call Lisa Thompson directly. They will help you. Dr. Shenaq IS performing surgeries. I cannot tell you how happy I am! They are getting their new office squared away. I am pretty sure tight now it is only Dr. Shenaq and Lisa. I hope your son can have his surgery soon!

Re: shots in BPI arm
<t> I have been told by my childs OT to NEVER, under ANY circumstances allow anyone to put a needle in the affected arm or to allow anyone to take bood pressure in that arm either. I am of the opinion that that arm has endured enough trauma, why add more? I would not let anyone come close to my chil...
