Re: Neurontin

I've yet to notice any side effects. I do think it has lessened the pain some.

Re: 53 Yr Old with BP caused by Virus?

<r>Wow! Howdy neighbor! I live in Manassas, Va and am going through the same thing as your wife. I too was suffering from a URI, woke up one night with an incredible pain in my neck (thought I'd slipped another disc) and within 3 days no use of my right arm. Well at least no use in the deltoid and b...

Re: Neurontin

Oxycontin is not the same thing as Neurontin, as far as I am aware.

I am taking 300mg 3 times daily, and today is one of those days I want to chew my arm off to get away from the pain.

Also it was my upper arm that was affected by the BPI, only now my forearm and wrist are starting to become quite painful as well. I go back to the neurologist the ...

Re: Effects on Pain

<r>I am so new to all of this, I am only about a month in! I'm still fighting the case of nerves that arises eeverytime I think about how badly my shoulder hurts and how I can't raise my right arm. This website has been great so far. It helps alleviate some of my fears, although it does raise a few ...

Re: This is all so new

<r>Annette, I can't thank you enough for your response! It actually brought tears to my eyes. I didn't even have a "real" accident, best they guess at the moment is that it came on from an infection. I have been married 18 yrs, he announced to me last Dec (after 17 yrs of marriage, and two kids a gi...

Re: This is all so new

<r>Thanks Karen!<br/> <br/> Today at the Dr's he did an EMG, and says he thinks I have BPI from a viral infection, which he says should clear up on it's own in about 6 to 8 months judging on how far down my shoulder/arm it goes. He will be talking to my ortho and calling me later today he said. He m...

This is all so new

<t>Hi All,<br/> <br/> I've not quite been diagnosed with BP yet. I've seen my Ortho, who had me get an MRI thinking I had once again blown a disc in my neck as I have already had fusion between c-5 and c-6. Not another disc, so he starts discussing BP as a possibility, and tomorrow I go to the neuro...
