elbow out

Post by Paula »

I've noticed that Aaron's elbow is always up and out what does this mean? also, I need to make a take for TCH. I have one of taping every 2 weeks on Aaron to show if any improvements do I send that one or do I send a new one of the regular 10 minutes of recent movements?

I am not sure about the TCH taping. Rosalynn had a problem where she always had her elbow bent, with therapy and a splint worn at night it was corrected. Might ask you PT about it, the splint we had just velcroed around the elbow area and had a metal peice inside to help keep the arm extended. Was not a real expensive one or hard to put. Good Luck.

I'm not sure if this is the same thing. Amanda's elbow is out because her shoulder is dislocated. One doctor didn't know the shoulder was dislocated and recommended a splint to hold her elbow in. When I showed the splint to Dr. Nath he said it could possibly cause the shoulder to become more dislocated. So, my advice is to make sure it is not dislocated before you use a splint to correct this. Just my opinion.....good luck.
