Here's one http://www.chefsresource.com/ezs-100-2.html I just typed 'one handed can opener'into google.
I don't know if this is any good altho it does look like it, I've never actually bought a single gadget to help with my bpi, too pig headed I guess! I use a normal can opener with one hand, I kind of nibble my way round the edge of the tin. Sure, it takes me probably twice as long as someone without a bpi but we are talking maybe 20 seconds here, I don't even think about it :0)
Hope this helps, if Joe finds a good one let us know will you, someone else might find it useful. Good luck!

Check out this Gizmo by Black & Decker, this is what I use and its great! It is really easy and ther really is nothing to it. You just clip it on the edge of a can and it does its own thing! I would highly recomend it!

This is one of the lst things I bought when I was injured (the next was a hair dryer/brush in one) and I loved the can opener. It works great with one-hand. I actually got mine at Target for around $20.00.

The one I use is by hamilton beach. It is very easy to use and to store. It is kind of like the gizmo, but I got it before the gizmo came out.It is one of my favorite gadgets. Has anyone tried the new jar openers that are out?

Traci,
My wife bought me a Black & Decker Gizmo because , like Jenny, I'm pig headed. It really does work great. Very easy to start, and once you start it, it travels around the can by itself.
Cheers....Karl....

I have the Gizmo too! I have always had and electric can opener. I got one 39 years ago and never realized I could not use a regular one until we had a power failure... LOL...

I like the Gizmo but the old fashion electric one I had was even more one handed user friendly. But, they don't make them anymore and I am robpi so I have to use it left handed.

I use what my Dad used to call a bulldog can opener. Sort of a handle w/a blade and hook on it that you lever up and down around the can. I also keep a few Army "P-38's" around too altho I have to hold the can between my feet in both cases. What's a Gizmo?

Here is the link to the Gizmo

I like it but find it harder because I can use my bpi hand a bit and I think it confuses me.... hmmm is it a bpi moment or a senior moment... not sure. LOL

It is really a good little can opener. I have it awhile but I think I paid less for it. I guess I looked for a sale... LOL..
