Info wanted on Dr. Waters in Boston

Post by Joni »

I am considering taking my daughter to see Dr. Waters for tendon transfer/elbow dislocation concerns and wanted some info from other families who have seen him before. Any info would be greatly appreciated, especially if someone has had hand/wrist transfers there. Does anyone know if they have to scan her elbow to assess a dislocation, if she would have to be sedated? (I may just need to call the clinic?) Thanks.

Hi Joni:
We have been seeing Dr Waters since my daugther was 2 months old. She will be 3 in September. She had secondary surgery with him in Jan of this year.
We think very highly of him and the staff at Children's hospital Boston.
I have no experience with elbow surgery issues, but if you have any questions that I may be able to help you with please email me anytime.
I advise you to call his nurse Paula Donahue. If you need her telephone number just email me.
She can help you with your specific questions. This is the easiest way to get your answers or you can email Dr Waters personally. I must warn you that his email responses are VERY brief. When you meet with him in person he goes into all of the details.
Good luck.
