Did you think of this?

We just discovered that it may be possible our wonderful ped who we trust with our lives and were so indebted to him because he saught us out and wanted to be our liason to the TX people and he said he would do whatever it took to make sure our little girl was taken care.....
Well,,, the powers in the medical world, the system, whatver you call it (risk management) sent him to us. He was there to make sure we did get the best care, but for less than honorable reasons. It reduces copabilty on behalf of the hospital and we all know that the lesser the degree of injury, the less money they have to pay out. I just thought he cared and wanted to help because he seemed to be the only one who knew a little something about it.
I know it probably shouldn't matter as long as our child is benefitting from it, but if the hospital came to me and told me to go talk to this family in the NICU and make them feel better and do what you have to do to make sure they don't get angry and want to sue, I would feel very uncomfortable in that postion.
Well, if you had the same thing happen where this doctor approaches you and tries to sell himself to you and want to take care of your child... that may be well and good, but sometimes like in our case, they may have alterior motives. Watch your back!
