CD-ROM / laptop instead of heavy books

Post by EllenB »

Have any of you tried using a CD-ROM on a laptop to replace the heavy textbooks in school? If so, any suggestions?

How hard is it to move around (skipping to different page numbers as directed by the teacher, etc.) - much less highlight sections or add notes - typically done in books? Can you type faster than write? Whatcha think?

I agree with Andrew's comment on the backpack link. You don't want to do anything that makes you different from the majority. Good idea for college though once the high school peer stuff is behind you.
