Nothing to do with Erbs Palsy but....

Post by janny scotland »

I know there a few of you in Florida and i just want you to know that my thoughts are with you during these hurricanes. Hope nobody is too badly hit.
As we are coming across in 8 weeks, obviously i have been watching the news reports like a hawk.
God bless!

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

I wish I lived in Fla. so I could meet up with you in 8 weeks. Thanks for the kind thoughts I am worried about the storms also. We are getting the rain portion of the storms in the northeast.

I am safe & sound in USA, Illinois. Here are some newspaper articles re Florida & South Carolina for you.

I know Deb & Margo, in the article below. I was in a High School class with Margo, she works for the Chamber of Commerce; and Deb teaches at the High School 4 blocks from my house. Wild.

I hope you can meet up with Judy and her family. She is the first OBPI I met almost 4 years ago. last year we paddled in a canoe... well, she and Nancy did the paddle bit I sat in the middle like a Queen because we had two robi and one lobpi... two robpi would only go in circles...

Judy glad you are doing well... bet you have tons of food stocked up... LOL...

Glad to hear you and your family are ok Judy.
We were watching all the news and weather reports here (we get loads of American news channels on Digital TV, Fox news, CNN etc.)Some places were so badly damaged and the loss of lives is inconceivable.

Kath, will you have much effect from it in NY?
I remember we had effects of one of those hurricanes here in Scotland, many years ago, Hurricane Andrew i think. It was freak but they said it was the way that the weather system travelled, we had high winds but nothing like the original hurricane.

By the way Judy, i would love to meet up in Orlando. I was going to email you but just havent had much time on my hands. The kids go back to school from their summer vacation on Tuesday, so we are busy getting ready, buying the new clothes etc.

Kath and Judy.... i have the copy of "Outreach" with those pics LOL

Keep safe all
