I mention it in a reply, but think the web site is so good it deserves "top billing." It's www.painfoundation.org. It includes information and links for folks in crisis, stuff on finding a pain doc/clinic, information about financial resources(unfortunately, relevant just to the US, I tnink ), a resource library regarding chronic pain, and lots more.
I believe anyone dealing with pain will find this site useful...

I just read some of the stories on the pain site - I agree, it's full of good info. I was surprised there weren't any stories of bpi related pain, but now realize I'd somehow been thinking that bpi sufferers had "cornered the market" on chronic pain. Thanks for sharing.
