Thank you so much everyone. I am very happy with it so far. Today was only the first day and I really do like it. I'm on trial for 2 weeks so hopefully they will keep me. I also had my interview for the surgical tech program today at our local college. That went well, however, the instructor from my medical terminology class remembered my injury and had asked me about it. It basically came down to would I be able to hold onto a retractor for 2 hours straight. I replied with "I doubt that my arm would be able to sustain that kind of activity." So...needless to say the arm wins again!!! OH well. The guy did say that I was a great candidate and when I felt as though I was capable he would definately have recommended me for the program. I just couldn't see spending all that money and then figuring out it would be actually causing me more pain in the long run. So, I think I will stick with what I have for now. Thank you everyone for being there for me. *HUGS* I truly appreciate it!!

I completed the LPN scholl in 1986 and was able to work for several years. In 93, I got into computers and train on and build software programs in hospitals. It kind of keeps me in healthcare and at the same time, I learn a new skill and don't have to do a lot with my hands.
There are a lot of fields to get into--call vocational rehabilitation and ask them to assess your physical ability and help you get on the road to a career you'd enjoy.
In the meantime--congrats on the new job. I'm sure you'll do great. Pat Q
