Mirror box technique?

A while ago, someone asked for more info on Ramachandran's mirror box, and how it can trick the brain into thinking that the arm is still there and working. The theory is that this might reduce the pain levels.
One of the members of the TBPI Group here in the U.K. sent me some pictures of her using a mirror box that her son made for her. I've uploaded the pics to the TBPI Group main website mainly just to show how the box can be constructed, plus a little bit about the theory and a few links to some sites giving more detailed info about cortical re-mapping etc. If anyone is interested in this go to http://www.tbpi-group.org and click on the link on the home page there.
I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has tried this, and if they would like to share their experiences of it.
