I am a new mom with BPI daughter. Since the day my bady was born, I've suffered a lot. Does anyone know BPI support groups in California, especially in SF area? I also want to gather information about attorneys who are specialized in Brachail Plexus case. It will be better if they have office in California. Many thanks for your reply in advance.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby's injury. Our son is almost six months old and just had his primary surgery last month. This injury has indeed changed our lives. We live in Burlingame, and I would gladly welcome your call. We have found a CA attorney and he has many BPI clients. Please give me a call.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby's injury. I currently have a e-mail support group. Although I have people in it from other States, quite a few of us are from California. Please feel free to contact me at kari@calebscompanions.org
My son is almost 4 and has a full LOBPI. We've had 1 surgery and 1 botox treatment. I would be happy to help you in anyway you'd like. We live in San Jose, very close to San Francisco, as I'm sure you know. Our journey can be read at http://www.calebscompanions.org. The forum isn't really being used anymore, so please ignore that part. I just haven't had time to take that part down.
Anyway, I hope I can help you! Big Hugs to you and yours!

Boy, sure sounds like we need to set up an official support group here in the Bay Area. We've had some unexpected tragedy in our lives recently, but when things settle out I'm going to start the process if there's enough interest.
So... who's into a Northern Ca support group? My aim would be to have it officially set up by the picnic...that could be our first get together as a group??? Since Kari has championed all of the work so far, please be sure to let me know what you think. I don't want to step on anyone's toes here.

That sounds fabulous, Lisa! I would love to help you out in any way I can. The picnic is set for August 7th at Vasona Park in Los Gatos, CA. I'm still trying to get details taken care of. (I should post this more often, but I've got a plate full, unfortunately.) I have a local BPI specialist coming to speak for about an hour. Plus I'm working on someone to speak on the emotional aspect of parents with special children. If you want more information as I get them, feel free to sign up for the e-mail notices. http://mail.anderson-clan.org/mailman/l ... bpi_picnic
