Awhile back I remember their being a big push to try to get on Oprah. I remember someone did A LOT of work to gather stories and submit a topic idea on BPI. I was just curious if anything came of it...was their a response from Harpo at all?

I am the one who did this. We are still waiting to hear something, but thanks for remembering and asking.

Funny, I was just thinking about this exact same thing yesterday.
How long ago was everything submitted? Can you submit it to other shows if you don't hear anything.
Thanks for all the work you did!!!
Please keep us posted.

Please post anything that any of us can do to get this to happen. We need to be heard. We need to let all women know these issues exist.

Is there some other show we can go on? Like Montel Williams; I know he has several viewers and they all seem to be women.

i know that there has been a lot o fpeople emailing into the oprah showing requesting some attention and it hasnt seem to gotten us far.
What about everybody getting together letter to send in all at once? It may seem kind of quirky, but they may be more likely to notice a huge pack of papers adking the same thing? we could all write letters, send them to one person and that person could rely them all together!
or maybe something else that stands out a little?
anyone else have any ideas?

Ashley already did this. See her above post. Plus I think she knew someone who worked on the Oprah show...

I also e-mailed Oprah a while back to do a show on BPIs. Never heard anything back.
For what it's worth, I recently read she has a new executive producer who is trying to move the show back a little more into the "sexier" topics and give the show a little more edge. If that's true, it won't bode well for us.
I also wonder if that show is deluged with requests from "crusading mothers with sick children" to do shows about whatever disease they happen to be confronting. Maybe that's why we're being ignored-? BPI isn't sexy enough, and the crusading mother thing is too commonplace.

What about Dr. Phil or Montel Williams instead? It's not the Oprah show but if she is not willing let's get the word out there any way we can.

I wrote Oprah 9 months ago. They have an agenda months ahead with topics. I got a response and they may have me in the near future. Not for strictly BPI but for medical mistakes and injuries caused by doctors. It will be something like when that woman had gause left inside her and almost died, or like that woman who had the wrong breast removed. I cant say who I am, but they will call when it comes up.
