Here in TX

Post by rachelcasa »

Hello all. Just wanted to let you know that I am here in warm and sunny Texas. I got a message from Deanna on Thursday night and she did go ahead and proceed with her surgery on Friday morning. I have not heard yet how she is doing with everything. I am flying to Houston tomorrow morning and will get to visit with her then.
I get home monday night so I'll let everyone know by Tuesday morning how she is doing.
Hope this finds everyone well.
Take care
Kath

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York

Kath,
yes I visited the same doctor. However, he didn't seem to think it would help me out any. I think due to the fact that I gained a few inches in length with the mod quad surgery. This he told me I would loose pronation, which I don't want to loose and he said it would only give me a little bit more external rotation. Maybe I had my hopes up to high. I don't know. I'm o.k. with it though. Just was hoping it would be 100%. *L* Hope your doing well.
Talk to you soon.
