Our PT brought a McKie splint to therapy today to help with our daughters supination. Does anyone else use one of these? I am going to get in touch with TCH tomorrow to see what they say but I wanted opinions from actually parents. Please let me know if they are a good thing to use or not.
Thanks in advance,
Christi

I can't say whether it's good or bad but I can say one thing and that is not to make it too tight- don't cause too much stretch because it can easily dislocate the radius (elbow bone).

We got the McKie thumb splint with the sup strap for our almost 2 y/o and absolutely love it. He is much more balanced when he walks(or runs) and doesn't fall as much while wearing it and it puts his hand in a more functional position. He happens to love it too and sometimes will try to put it on himself. Our specialist suggested that it be replaced often since the stap losses its stretch.

I am TPBI and I wera the sup strp every day! i Just love the thing! It really has helped with my strong pronation, ow my fingers face forward instead of turned it. Without the strap and without gravity I can supinate to neutral! I wouldnt give this thing up for anything, right now that is!
