I posted and it did not show up so if it on twice sorry. Thomas's therapist noticed clonic spasm's in his left leg. He has lobpi and had primary surgery in Oct. We went and had a CT done it was fine thank God! But I still wonder is this developmental delay from his bpi or something else. The doctor also said the left side of his face was not symetrical with the right side? so I was wondering if any of you had the same problem or have any advice ?or just say a prayer for him. Thanks in advance. carron

Did your doc mention anything about horner's syndrome, it may be a possibility?

Check for horner's yourself. My son has it and his one pupil is much bigger than the other. We actually figured out that our son had horner's before our Doctor did. He is just our regular pediatrician not a BPI specialist. Also his eye looks a little droopy when he is tired or doesn't feel well.

CLONIC SPASMS ARE INVOLINTARY MOVEMENTS OF THE MUSCLES. HIS FOOT POINTS DOWN AND WHEN YOU PUSH IT BACK UP IT SPASMS. THEY CALL IT CLONIC BECAUSE IT IS LINKED TO NERVE DAMAGE. YES IT IS THE LEG THEY TOOK THE NERVE FROM BUT THE THERAPIST SAID SHE NOTICED IT BEFORE THE SURGERY TO. HIS EYE ON THE LEFT LOOKS SMALLER THAN THE RIGHT ARE THERE ANY OTHER SIGNS TO LOOK FOR HORNERS? AS FOR HIS FACE HE SAID IT COULD BE THE WAY HE WAS IN ME OR THE WAY HE SLEEPS OR JUST FROM TRAUMA FROM BIRTH I AM LOST I JUST WISH I COULD FIND OUT MORE JUST GETTING FRUSTRATED MY FEELINGS ARE TELLING ME NOT TO LET THIS GO TILL I GET SOME ANSWERS.

Carron, I would get another opinion about the Horner's. See a Ped. Opthalmologist and a Ped. Neurologist. Also, post a thread with Horner's as the subject and you'll likely get more replies as to the signs to look for. I know that I've read things like --- the eye on that side appearing smaller, esp. when tired, sweating and temperature differences on the two sides of the face, as well as other signs. Again, if you start a new thread, I think you'll get more answers on the Horner's. There's prob. also something about it in the Awareness materials. Sorry, don't have any info. on the clonic spasms. -Tina
