Does your BPI kid wimper in her sleep?

Sophie has always done this, as long as I can remember. I've always thought she was in pain, or maybe just having bad dreams (but she's so young). Just wondering if it is common among other BPI's since my other daughter never did this. Sophie is now almost 3 and she still does this around 3-4am pretty often. I'll hear her where her breathing is short and she wimpers and she just sounds uncomfortable. I usually try to rub her back or something until she calms.

My husband says I jump & whimper in my sleep. I sometimes wake up & my arm is aching. Maybe she is having some aches & pains. After I am still for a while my arm really hurts.

YES!! Sophie does this too. She does this little cry in her sleep which is just enough for me to wake and say "it's ok bubba, mummy's here" and we both fall back to sleep....well at least I do and she makes no further noises.
She also snores, she has stridor. Her snoring is a great source of amusement at our mothers group.

I wake up some part of every night just can't find a comfortable position and I have always been a poor light sleeper... if my arm is not freezing it is painful after awhile... I also drive my husband crazy because I don't sleep well and wake up so much....

Maybe I should get him to rub my back... like a mommy would... LOL...

I can't begin to tell you how many crazy positions Michael can put his arm in. It seems to defy the law of physics. Michael not only talks in his sleep, but he grinds his teeth and sleep walks.

Savannah only has trouble in rainy weather or if its really cold. She doesn't wimper though. She cries, holds her arm, and says OWIE!! It just breaks my heart. We sing rain, rain,go away and I try my best to distract her. Heather in KY

Josh laughs, he sometimes even sings in his sleep. The only time he wimpered was when he was in upper body cast after shoulder relocation surgery. He would get stuck, but as soon as the cast came off this stopped

Tina,

I do. My husband has waken me because of my whimpering. It is normally because of pain or because I have moved wrong and it hurts.
