Can any of you bpi's out there help me with a little problem? do all of you get a lot of pain after you've had a night on the drink? i know i do, & it's stopping me from drinking because of the pain the next day. Please tell me it is'nt my imagination(promise i'm not an alchoholic)& it happens to other folk.

Yeh, we had this disscusion at the bpi piss-up,all of us agreed that the pain level went thru the roof after a drink,about 10 mins later we all went down the pub and got ratted, ah such is life!
On the plus side while your getting into your drunken stuper you dont feel pain(or you dont care)

sad but true bigsel, as karlos said, we conducted a lengthy survey into this at the uk adults gathering in the interests of science of course. obviously we'd far rather have been sitting indoors drinking cocoa. i have noticed that these days the 'hangover arm' is nowhere near as bad as it used to be, so maybe the alcohol/pain connection wears off long term, or maybe it's just that i can only drink 4 or 5 pints these days before hitting the deck.....have you also noticed that when yu've had a drink yr brain 'forgets' the bpi, and if u start to lose yr balance it puts out the bpi arm first (if your bpi affects the dominant arm) ....so of course nothing happens and you fall flat on yr face. i have become an expert on pub carpets throughout the uk because of this :0)

Afraid I have to agree with everyone elso. I always thought my pain was from over doing it while drunk/drinking. Like Jenny pointed out the brain tends to forget the BPI... the injured side tends to find doors, walls and people to bounce off of. I also notice that happening when I am tired.

Jenny you are too funny!! In your expert opinion is one pub carpet better than another?!?

....well joy, i'm quite partial to a nice Axminster, but have no time for those nasty hardwood floors some pubs have, very tough on the nose i find.....good job we don't have sawdust on the floor these days, try gettin that out of yer teeth when you've had a few :0)

Jen, I was just thinkin that meself...unfortunately, a pub we used to frequent had real trendy stone floors...guess what...I stayed SEATED in this one, and everbody else had to fetch me drinks... but getting up to go home was WELL dodgy...!!

...as you know, I'm a bit careful at home too...!

..the only answer for the onset of pain after you sobered up...don't!! just stay drunk!! ;0) ;o)
