Any new advancements in rotator cuff surgery?

Hi all!!
After getting a lot of motion and feeling back these last 5 months, David was ready to get his shoulder repaired by the orthopedic doctor--unfortunatley, because he has torn 3 out of 4 of the major tendons and rotator cuffs,Dr McFarland(THE shoulder guy in the area according to Dr. Belzberg) said that surgery would not be able to reapir the damage---this means David can no longer lift his arm above his head, or perpendicular to his body--certainly can't hold anything that way---Does anybody know of any other type of new surgery, or a good shoulder guy that maybe we could get a second opinion from?? David has come sooo far--I am just not willing to settle for this!! Thanks!! ~~Suzie~~~~
