Hey all, looks like I'm getting away for awhile after all. My dad is very ill so I'm going to visit him for a couple of weeks. I leave December 5, and don't believe I'll have access to the internet while I'm away so if I don't reply to you it's not because I choose to.

I hope it goes well Allison. We just connected there on our way home from New Orleans a few weeks ago and I didn't see any snow so that's good! Hope your dad is OK.

Thanks Nancy and Karen, however, my dad was admitted into hospital last night, but I did talk to him this morning. He sounded better than the last few times we've talked. He's on morphine and gets confused easily. (Kinda like me every day) Nancy, did Eric have more surgery? Let me know please how he is. Karen, hope your appt Monday goes well.
Thanks again ladies.

Hi Allison,
No, Eric didn't have more surgery. This was just a follow up appt. with Dr. Tiel. Eric's surgery was in Oct. 2000 and we go back every year mostly to see the dr. again but also for a good time. The weather in New Orleans end of Oct./early Nov. is still about 75 - 80 degrees and we have a lot of fun - getting to be regulars at some places. We're planning on going down next year for Halloween.

Hi Allison,
Which hospital is your dad in now? We live one block from both Northside & St. Joseph, and within 15 minutes of Piedmont. My son is John Floyd, who was injured a year ago & had the surgery at Mayo that was shown a week ago on Discovery Health Channel. If you were interested in a visit, we could easily arrange it...
Hope things are improving for your father. Keep us posted.

Thanks Ellen, I was thinking of you and John in Atlanta. However, I won't actually be in Atlanta, just for the flights in and out. I'll be staying 75 miles o/s of Atlanta. But thanks so much again for the invite.

Hi Allison,
So sorry to hear about your dad. Glad you are going to be with him. My dad who is 88, just left this morning to go back to Calif. after being with us for a week and I miss him already.
My love to you both, let us hear from you when you return.
Hugs, Karen
