It's been many months since I posted here, and it is nice to see some familiar faces. Sadly, I see too many new ones. Colleen is now nine months post mod/quad. She has been doing well, but is still unable to supinate. The other day I observed her using her right arm to lift the BPI arm over her head when she was at therapy. Needless to say, I was a bit upset over this. Ever since the start of the school year, I have been lax in having her do therapy at home. Seems she is involved in so many things, plus she is just plain tired of therapy. So now I am back to hounding her every day to do PT at home.
I guess it is time to send another video to TCH, she hasn't been seen since the August picnic, when Dr. Nath felt she was doing fine. BTW-while we were waiting in line to see Dr. Nath, Colleen reached up with both arms and adjusted her pony-tail. She had so many moms and dads watching her while she did it, and they all cheered when she finished. It was a wonderful feeling.
I'll leave you all with an address to the article the local paper did on Colleen last fall; some of you have already read it. Hope everyone is doing well! Take care, Donna
