Hi Guys,
It feels really gratifying to come home when you're down in the dumps and confused to have people waiting and wondering how I am doing. Thanks guys.
Well, I believe I went to the wrong guy. I knew more about my injury then he did. Aurelia said that in one of her messages and she is right. Some of these docs don't know or have the answer to everything. This doc was more of a back specialist. He told me to wait 2 months and get another EMG in a month from now and if there has been no improvement he "might" do surgery to get my elbow flexing again. He told me as well that I would never get my hand back. SO I went and saw my family doctor in Toronto and talked to him. He suggested that I see a plastic surgeon. They deal specifically with this kind of injury. I should have taken Mikey's advise from the get go. He saw a Dr. Ross in London who is a hand and upper limb specialist. I am in the process already of getting in to see him and I am also going on the internet to find other plastic surgeons who deal with the hand in Toronto.
I am not sitting around any longer. I have been staying with my parents for almost 3 months now. They live in the middle of no where and I have been basically waiting for something to happen with my arm and nothing has happened so I have decided to make a plan and get on with it, one arm or two. I am going to move back to Toronto and find work and get my own place. In the meantime keep searching out doctors, surgeons, plastic surgeons, you name it...I am not giving up. It is way too soon for that and I am not just sitting around and waiting for something to happen. Things have never been handed to me for nothing. I have always had to work at it and that is what I plan on doing. The hard work has just begun. Thanks for your support. Love, Karen

Hey friends,
Since my last reply I have found a plastic surgeon who deals strictly with BP hand reconstruction. I have an appt. on Dec. 1st. He is in Toronto. And I also have a referral to Dr. Ross in London. I am going to keep all options opened. I'll keep you posted. Thanks. Your friend, Karen

Hey Karen,
I'm sorry it worked out this way for you with Dr Midha. He did a great job for me, but it was more back/spinal than bpi.
Keep the faith!

Hi Henry,
Thanks again for your referral to see Dr. Midha. Yes he deals more with the spin but he says he wants to see me in two months. I have an appt. to see the plastic surgeon on Dec. 1st so hopefully something will come out of that. Suzie Dr. Ross is in London, Ontario. Oh boy if I had the money to fly to England, I would have been hopping on a plane instead to come down to visit you and meet up with your doc. From what I have heard his reputation is marvelous. If everything else fails, maybe I will be taking that route. I was pretty down yesterday. I am feeling better today. Thanks for caring. Talk to you soon my friends, Love Karen

Hi Henry,
I just read what I wrote yesterday about my visit with Dr. Midha, I wasn't implying that he isen't a good doctor because I know he is. He just didn't seem to say too much concerning my particular injury, that's all. Sorry if it sounded like I was ungrateful. I really appreciated the help you gave me. I just wanted to clarify that to you. Are you in on the weekend getaway? Take care. Karen
