Hey Allison! Thanx for asking. I'm living day by day. Today is exactly 2 weeks post-op and 4 months post-accident. Kind of scary to think about. I've only been BPI for such a short period of time, but already it feels like a lifetime. My main focus has beeen getting back home to Virginia but I hope I'm ready this time. Last time I spiraled down to the lowest of lows. My eyes must be open this time and know that I can only depend on myself and my family. Too bad my family is going to be so far away. Hopefully, I'll make the right choices and not hide everything at the bottom of a bottle.

Good luck in the next little while with your travel. Seems to me you are pretty tough stuff, and will handle obstacles along the way with your chin up-and I don't mean chin up from throwing back a shooter either! Well, maybe just a few for medicinal purposes, like me and my whisky, say it's happy hour here now, don't mind if I do. You said Virginia was your home, where are you now? How far do you have to go and whose going with you? Pretty nosey eh?
Allison from friendly Manitoba.

Allison - Right now I'm in South Carolina with my folks and as to being tough, it's more like being stubborn. My downfall isn't whiskey, it's Jagermiester and beer. And if you're gonna be nosy, do it now because once I get home, I won't have access to the internet.

Susan, you just have to have internet. How about taking the computer you're using now. You could be halfway home by the time they realize, hey, what the...
Anyway, I have a brother in NC and dad in GA. Do you know anybody in Canada?

Allison - I know Canadians but sad to say they all live in the US now. And as to stealing the computer, that isn't such the obsticle as the cable internet. I don't have phone service at my house so no hooking up the "old fashion" way. Just think, it's one less bill I have to pay - Lord knows I've gained enough with this accident!

Hey Susan!!

I agree with Allison--you HAVE to find a way to get on the net at home in Virginia---you get a lot of extra support from people here on the BPI website--people who truly understand what you are going thru--really try to stay hooked up, for your own mental peace of mind!! Plus, we would all miss you terribly!!!--Be looking for a package at your parent's houwe this week--found the shampoo we were talking about--or should I send it to your address in Virginia??? When are you going back there?? ~~Suzie~~~

Hey Suzie I'll miss reading the message boards too. I can always go to the library to use the computers so I'll check in every now and again. I'm planning on going back to Virginia the 2nd week in December. I can't believe it's almost the end of the year. It's like I'm in a time warp. It was mid-summer just a second ago and I had no idea what BPI was.
