Medical malpractice/insurance companies

I live in Pennsylvania and have noticed billboards popping up in our area regarding medical malpractice. (I think they are from the medical association.) I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I've seen two different ones. One has an adorable baby with a "potential lawsuit" label plastered across its chest. Then the billboard says "to a lawyer all patients look the same" or something like that. The other one is with a pregnant mom as the photo with basically the same wording. Sounds like they are really fighting birth injury cases. I said they shouldve had the baby's wrist tipped back or his arm in a sol brace! ugh! Awareness in mega doses is the key!!

Sick. How are we fighting back? I feel like we are losing as we are protrayed to be the greedy and wrong ones.

One thing that disturbs me (other than the obvious) is that it influences the general population ie: the jury pool for our trials. It makes the victims out to be the villians.

Denise,
You are so right. And unfortunately it is directly impacting many of our childrens cases and will only continue to at a greater rate. The general mentality is supporting doctors more and more, out of sympathy from their false claims, not facts. I feel like we are having to just sit back and watch things get worse and worse. We are all so busy caring for our injured children, who has the time to organize and really fight to inform the public of the truth.
