Hi to Everyone... and airfare

Post by Patty1 »

It's been a really LONG time since I've posted. I took a break from the boards, but not on purpose. We've just had a very hectic past several months. So, I wanted to take a minute to say HI to everyone once again from me and Cole Michael. So many new names..... makes me sad, but happy you've found support. It's a wonderful group of people here and I appreciate everyone. Cole is doing well, he just turned 6. It's been 2 1/2 years since his Osteotomy and he's really still doing good. He's back to holding his arm at an angle again though..... but his function is still great!

Francine I checked out your web sight too. It just keeps growing! Thanks as always for the good information. And actually I can probably get me next question answered there as well..... but.... I have a friend whose son has ITP (a blood disorder), and she's able to get him in a study in Mass. but can't afford the airfare, etc. Can anyone guide me as to where she may be able to get assistance for this much needed medical attention.

Thanks in advance.

Take care....

Patty

Hi Patty - nice to see you.

http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/travel.html

Miracle Flights is great btw.... all the forms are right there online...

your friend might need a letter from a non-profit organization - and then again I don't think you need one for Miracle Flights

http://www.miracleflights.org

they actually buy the tickets from the airlines

wish your friend good luck - safe journey - much needed help, etc.
