Where do I start? Sept.24 started lorazipam for depression, anxiety and to quiet the HORRIBLE spasms I get from time to time. Well, the next thing I know it'sOct. 6 and I don't remember anything that's happened the last 2 weeks. At least not in great detail. I remember some wonderful people calling me expressing their concern, because I was dangerously hitting bottom.(thankyou guys)--I felt almost like I had too much to drink-(I don't drink at all). The scariest part was the almost total loss of memory.I asked many health care people and only ONE Dr I am aquainted with said that he had heard of this phenomenon--apparently some forms of benzodiazepines interact with the part of the brain that controls short-term memory and judgment in a very small percentage of people.Well let me tell you- I hope you NEVER experience this. It is BAD. I LITERALLY LOST 2 WEEKS OF MY LIFE. If I wanted to live like that I'd just start drinking again. I am so glad that I was working on my motorcycle cuz if it had been running I would of ghosted myself. So please brothers and sisters- if you try benzodiazepines for spasms or depression or what ever- make sure somebody straight is around to make sure you can maintain ok. I am NOT over reacting. I've tried klonipin, restoril, valium, xanax--they've all worked so-so for spasm control and anxiety-never had a problem. But something about the chemical delivery in lorazepam slammed me.--Also- my Dr aquaintence told me that altho the chemical may be almost the same-the uptake and metabolism of the chemical could differ significantly.SO-anyone w/ any info or experience with this PLEASE contact me and tell me your story. I am VERY intrested in compiling this information and trying to do a study on why things like this happen, not just with benzo's but with a lot of drugs that work for some but not others.
Also, anybody I contacted from 9-24 thru 10-6 can you remind me what we talked about? It all seems like a dream.
