Hi - supination in an uninjured child comes in at around 11 months so not to worry about that yet. And if he can put his hand to his chin - well this is as good movement. But if you have any question whatsoever, you should have your child evaluated by a bpi specialist and that way you will know for sure. Although I know it is depressing I wanted to let you know that my son Ian didn't roll over until he was about 8 months old. He had done it a few times prior to that but my BPI people felt it was an accident. Anyway... he is almost one now and can roll over, scootes insead of crawls and is almost walking. It is hard when they are not making the milestones that a non BPI baby is but they do make!

heyyyy, we were using ice , I guess that would be cold for Max, at about the same age ohh the memories! Max did not have sensation it seemed on his forearm either, that was the one place he had no reaction to the ice...
Max has very good recovery by the way , he is almost 3 now- and at 4 1/2 months he was not able to touch his chin yet I dont think so

My daughter is 9 months and I think she has decreased sensation in her forearm and her hand (she bites her thumb enough to break the skin). I've never heard of hot/cold therapy. What is it? And to the woman who has a three year old - did the sensation ever come back? Are there any known therapies to repair sensory nerves?

I had to create another account as i forgot my password DUH. francine i e-mailed lisa at tch about 3 weeks ago and no answer so i guess i will just call. it is so hard though. i work 40+ a week, have 4 kids, am the seretary/treasurer of my older boys boxing club and have no time for myself. i find myself doing aaron's rom when having meetings with the boxing club or just talking to anyone and alot of time i won't realize i'm doing rom till i'm done! marymom and kristie thanks for the uplift. although it is hard when some lady brings you her daughter who is 7 mos old and just has to show you that she can clap her hands while mom sings patty cakes. tina, the way my son's ot explained it was that when you apply hot/cold you are kind of stimulating the nerves. i use a wipe or like marymom an icecube being careful not to leave it on long. and for the hot just a warm wash cloth. my son's ot has not had alot of experince with bpi babies but bless her heart she really tries.
