There are many of us who have gotten this injury from an accident later on in life, not just those that are born with it. Check out the medical resource diectory here on this website and find a BPI doctor in your area or one that fits your needs! It is best to see a BPI doctor ASAP as they know best!

Good luck and feel free to email me with any questions!

Hi there
I see from your email that you're in Australia-I'm in NZ. There are almost always options for treatment, especially if there are not multiple avulsions. Your son's age will be a great help in any treatment you may choose. There are some bpi specialists in Aus, altho I'm not sure if they are mainly concerned with birth injuries. I'll try and rustle up some names for you-I have got a few tbpi contacts in Australia who might know some names for you. I'll email you when I have something, in the meantime please mail me or anyone posting here by clicking on their name if you want to ask anything. Hope you're enjoying the Southern spring as I am :0)
Glad to meet you Jen NZ
