Finger Biting

We are struggling with Ella's problem of biting her pinky and the palm of her hand on her left arm. She has been biting her fingers for about 5 months now and since her mod-quad she has cut back on the amount of place she bites. The big problem is that she is doing it to the point that she is breaking the skin. Taking the advice of her therapist we have been brushing and massaging her arm but it is not working that quickly. We keep her finger and hand wrapped with Elastikon tape but the healing takes a long time and once it is healed she does it again. Any advice or similar situations with outcomes would be great. Thank you!

Hi Ellasmom....

about the not healing so fast.... (because of decreased circulation etc)...

do you have a TES machine? if you do - do some TES on the hand and it will really increase the circulation so it will heal faster!

if you do not have a TES machine - (or even if you do have a TES machine) get some Tea Tree Oil liniment... or silver cream...or something that contains both.. it will boost the healing process greatly.

the place I learned about this cream is here http://www.molluscum.html - they have a silver paste that works fabulously

Maia had a serious ulcerated sore in the webbing of her thumb from her airplane splint... we couldn't stop using it for 2 months, so I put on a blister bandaid...but it didn't work - the ulceration got worse and worse..... so one nnight it was so bad (and this was after 7 days of antibiotics) that it looked like she was getting blood poisoning - it was all purple..... so I did some estim on her hand and put on the silver paste and by the next day it was virtually gone.... the following day I did it again and the next day it was gone.

anyway - I hope that helps,
