My son had the capsulodesis performed the day before Thanksgiving. Concerning the incision on the front of his shoulder, which has healed wonderfully, he has this little piece of string sticking out of the top of his incision. I am assuming this is part of his stitches that just didn't disolve away. Has anyone else witnessed this before? I think I am going to e-mail Lisa T. to see what she says. There is no irritation or anyting around it. It is just 'there' and it is driving me buggy whenever I see it.

BTW - we have 2 weeks left and he will only be required to wear his brace at night. I'll probably keep it on him at daycare and preschool, but haven't decided for sure yet.

Later...

Dez

Dez, my son had a string hanging out from the MQ and was told by TCH to snip it, which we did. That was kinda keeping it from fully closing. After we snipped, it was fine. I would call Lisa and double check this. Good luck. :)
