Please advise and thanks

My daughter sees DR Waters. He has been following her since she was only 2 months old. Today she is almost 2 yrs old.
I think very highly of him, his staff and the hospital as a whole.
If you want to know anything particular you can always email me.

We also see Dr.Waters and we think he is great as well. Our son, Jason, who is 9 and 1/2 months old, has a minor BPI injury and he did not need the primary surgery (and so far no others are planned).

Jason has been under Dr.Waters' care since he was 7 weeks old. At the first visit, he sat down with us and took time to clearly explain everything to us about the injury and treatment. All subsequent visits have gone similarly as far as us walking away not feeling rushed and feeling comfortable that he answered every question we had.

Two different PT/OT's that have worked with Jason know Dr.Waters and think very highly of him.

We went to the Boston "picnic" in June and found it helpful when Dr.Waters did a presentation and had a discussion with everyone.

We have not had any experience with Dr.Kozin. Good luck with your second opinion.

I think both doctors are great. We had an appointment with both however when we met with Dr. Kozin we were so impressed we continued care with him and cancelled our appointment with Dr. Waters. Both doctors had the same course of treatment however Dr. Kozin is closer to us and after meeting with him and corresponding with him we think he's awesome.

My daughter Allison sees Dr. Waters. He is AWSOME!!!

He really knows his stuff when it comes to Brachial Plexus. We feel we are very fortunate to have found him.

Good luck to you and your son.

Hi Alice, The last time we saw Dr.Waters he did say that he consults with Dr.Kozin all the time. We also think highly of Dr.Waters. They are both not too far so you could always go see them both. Good luck,Melissa

Our son Zachary is currently under Dr. Kozin's care, and is now 4+ weeks post op from anterior capsule release. Details from our experience w/Kozin and Shriner's Philly can be read in the thread "Zach's Home". I've been very pleased w/Kozin and the people who work with him. Zach is now out of his cast and in the brace he will wear for the next 4 weeks. We have 2 thereapy sessions a day at Shriners. Therapy needs to be 4X/day. Kozin responds very quickly to email, usually within 24 hours, and called us while he was away on vacation with Zach's follow-up MRI results.

MRI's are ordered prior to any surgery. He was 1rst doc to do this for Zach. Helped greatly to see actual condition of his shoulder. Quality of MRI very high.

Appreciated that Shriner's was close by, have same doc who operated doing the follow-up, and that the therapists working on Zach work with Kozin so care is continuous. Also have really liked no insurance hassles, pre-cert, negotiating care costs, dealing with flying...

Have no experience with Dr. Waters, so can't speak to what he can do.

My son Michael is also 6 yrs. old. We have seen Dr. Waters since Michael was 2 and are very pleased with him. I have noT seen Dr. Kozin, but it sounds like you won't loose with either one of them. I guess the next question might be who is closer. Good luck.
