Today is my first anniversary. There were times when I wondered how I was going to get by with this injury, but today, things seem much brighter. I'm constantly amazed with what I AM able to do, and am really trying not to worry about what I'm not able to do anymore. I've replaced my motorcycling hobby by purchasing a cheap old Corvette. Doing the mechanical work is a little more difficult, but it seems I'm able to do whatever I need to do. I think, things can only get better.
I want to wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

First Anniversary
Re: First Anniversary
That's the spirit Dennis.....no use looking back. For a one year anniversary you have a great attitude! Hope you are continuing to improve. Happy Holidays from the south, friend. I believe your cold weather has finally made it down here......just in time for Christmas and New Year. Reckon that vette of yours will be ready by Spring? Let me guess......candy-apple red??? Enjoy your project.

Re: First Anniversary
What a great attitude! There are times it is hard to focus on what all we CAN DO. It is important that we do just that. I feel lucky everyday for the things I am still able to do, or the things I have learned to do differently. I know that there are times I have trouble seeing all the good. So thanks Dennis for posting such a wonderful reminder!
What year is the Corvette? We just bought a 1971 Charger. If all goes as planned (translation:if we find the money) it should be on the road in 6 to 9 months.

Re: First Anniversary
It's a 1979. I would have rather had a '69, but even the project cars are unaffordable to me. Congrats on the Charger. The first car I ever owned was a '68 Charger RT with a 440 magnum. I'd love to have that car again.
