Well, after 7 years of waiting our daughter Lauren finally won her case. The jury came back with a guilty verdict and awarded her $2 million dollars. Lauren was 11 lbs 2 oz and was stuck during delivery. Her Dr. did not perform the standard of care by using all the techniques used to deliver a baby with shoulder distocia. Our daughter Lauren will never have complete use of her arm and faces many surgeries and challenges in her life. Lauren is a very happy child and never let’s what she can’t do, get her down. All the money in the world will never replace what she doesn’t have, but I hope it helps in later life. Lauren had surgery a TCH when she was 18 months old and is due for a visit soon.
