I was in a car accident 10/98. I did 2yrs of rehab, 1 1/2 yrs Botox and trigger point injections, Cortizone inj and pills. Wrist in split 24/7. I tried to continue to work off and on throughout the 4 1/2 ys. I have not slept through the night since the car accident. I am awoken each night with numbness and heavy weights in my affected arm. My upper shoulder and upper back as well as affected side of neck hurt. Sometimes I feel like a truck is sitting on my upper chest/shoulder area. After the accident, they suspected Thoracic Outlet/Brachial Plexus. Nothing was really done about it accept all the things I listed above. Just today I saw another doctor who stated he also believes it is Brachial Plexus. He is looking for a doctor in Philadelphia to see me. I read many of your stories and am scared out of my mind that this was let go for 4+ years. I am currently back on disability which my boss is getting tired of. I have a great pain tolerance so that has helped but I think it hindered in anything being done prior to this. Anyone have any suggestions. I don't want to lose all the feelings in my arm. I already have now been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel which they feel is from the shoulder.

Hello Deborah,

My doctor was at Philadelphia Hand Center. At that time they were affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. I was pleased with the care. They also have, or at least had, an office in King of Prussia.

I had a car accident in 1991 that left me with a BP and TOS. My first surgery was for TOS. If there are any questions I can answer for you just email me.
