I am glad to hear of this media coverage, and especially glad that this was on a Spanish-speaking channel. I know that there are many Spanish-speaking families out there (particularly here in Arizona) searching for information, and the language differences can be a barrier. Thanks for sharing.

The girl you saw on that program called "Primer Impacto" was Jocey our daughter. Thanks to Jackie for tell my about this specific post. Yesenia I had technical problems with this computer when you posted it.

I didn't saw the video because I was two weeks recording and I though they will never show her and I decide to stop the recording. Then the Monday after the presentation several friends told me about her interview but no body recorded it because they said was a short interview and they were focused on how Jocey was doing and how she look.

I agree with you and they exaggerate if they mentioned she is "cured". That word sound like a miracle for a girl with all her nerves disconnected from her dorsal spine. TV exaggerate to get more rating I think this do a big impact on the people who see their program as the name of the program "first impact". Lisa Davis called me for the spanish interview because Jocey has been improving in a incredible way since her first surgery but she is not "cured". Jocey had a total avulsion from C5 to T1. This means her arm was total weak before the primary surgery.

Now she could move her shoulder very well and bent her elbow. But she do not have enough movement of her wrist and fingers yet. She will have a surgery January 21 to transfer a muscle from her leg to her wrist. With this muscle transfer she will be able to hold a cup with her hand. That is the best new for us in this year. We are exited because thanks to the surgeons she will be more independent.

I want to do a brachial Plexus website (I don't know how expensive it is) or webpage for the Spanish speaking people. I wish Francine could help me to do this and I will appreciate the advice from all of you who know more of how to do it.

I found this message board around two months ago and we posted about our specific case and all what we did for our beautiful daughter. Then we started to receive lots of emails asking questions and most of them was made by Spanish speakers.
